What is Real Estate Wholesaling?
If you are not fully up to speed on what real estate
wholesaling is, I decided to ask a couple of my students to
explain what real estate wholesaling has been to them:
"Because of my limited financial
resources and my 'allergic reaction' to risk, wholesaling seemed
like the best option"
Eric asked me to put together a short story
on what real estate wholesaling is to me. Before I get to
telling you what wholesaling is to me, I need to let you know a
bit about myself.
I have always been interested in real estate
investing but seemed to be reaching a block in the road when it
came to following through on what to do or where to start. There
are just way to many options. I spent a lot of time in the
online forums trying to learn as much as I could about real
estate investing. After a lot of reading and research I decided
that real estate wholesaling was probably the way that I wanted
to go.
Because of my limited financial
resources and my "allergic reaction to risk", wholesaling seemed
like the best option. One of the main causes for my
risk allergy was that I have a wife and two children to provide
for. I couldn't afford to give up my regular job, but I also
couldn't afford to rely on it for my only source of income.
Don't get me wrong I am thankful for my job working as a
mechanic. I just wanted more. By more I mean more
money, more time with my family, and more out of life.
Wholesaling seemed like the quickest way to
get me there.
In the past 8 months since buying
Eric's course I have successfully completed 1 deal that I netted
just over $8,000 on. I have two more in the works that
